A motorcyclist has died after crashing on the A41.

The air ambulance was called to the A41 near the Brent Cross flyover shortly after 7pm on Friday April 3.

Reports that the emergency services received was that a motorbike had crashed near the junction of Woodville Gardens, close to where the A406 and A41 meet in Brent Cross.

A 28-year-old rider was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim's next of kin have been informed and formal identification awaits, the Met Police says.

The Met has launched an investigation into the fatal collision - and in particular are keen to trace the drivers of two vehicles who were in the area at the time of the crash.

The vehicles are a blue hatchback and a coupe.

Detective Constable Sid Acharya of the Met’s serious collision investigation unit, said: "During the course of my enquiries into the circumstances surrounding this collision I discovered two vehicles in the immediate vicinity of the bike when it crashed, a small – medium blue hatchback and a medium – large light coloured coupe.

"I am appealing directly to the drivers of those vehicles to come forward and speak to me about what they saw.

"One of the cars, the blue hatchback, had passed the bike seconds before the crash and could be unaware of the collision, but the second vehicle, the light coloured coupe, was in the immediate area of the bike when the incident took place.

"Neither vehicle stopped at the scene. I ask that the drivers of those vehicles come forward now and provide me with an account that could help me to give much needed answers to a devastated family.”"
