An indie rock band has created a music cover of a Foo Fighters song while in lockdown to honour NHS staff.
The Natalies, a Watford-based band, filmed themselves performing a cover of the song My Hero from their separate homes.
The band, which was set up 10 years ago, comprises of lead singer Paul McLoughlin, guitarist David MacRaild, bassist Stephen York and drummer Lawrence Farelly.
Mr Farrelly, an instrumental teacher who publishes videos online for his students, said he came up with the idea.
He said: "Through doing that (publishing videos for his students), I got an idea for the band to record a song to say thank you to all the key workers.
"These people at work are putting themselves in harms way, and it is just a nice way of showing appreciation."
Each member recorded their part of the song and Mr Farrelly said it took them a week to edit it all together.
Mr Farelly said that before the pandemic, his band used to perform at pubs most Friday and Saturday nights.
He said: "It was about five weeks ago we did our last performance, even then there was not many people.
"But the video was a great way to connect with everybody and the feedback we got was superb."
