Police are trying again to identify a man who is suspected of robbing two bookmakers with a gun.

The first robbery took place at a Ladbroke on High Street, Barnet on November 18 last year.

Officers said the suspect entered at around 9.40am and demanded cash from staff whilst brandishing a firearm.

The second robbery happened minutes later at a Betfred and according to police the suspect threatened a staff member with a fire arm.

He then left on a Yahama motorcycle with cash he took from both bookmakers.

A total of £500 in cash was stolen during both robberies.

Officers said he was wearing a distinctive black crash helmet, with red markings on the top. He has been described as a black man, aged in his 30s and around 6ft 1ins tall, with a corn row hairstyle at the time of the offence.

Police have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to identify and has asked anyone with information to come forward.

Detective constable Kevin Parley, from Central Specialist Crime said: "Six months on and we would like the public to take a further look at this man, do you recognise him?

"We have carried out extensive enquiries to locate the man who was captured on CCTV during one of the robberies. I would urge anyone with information to contact us."
