PLANS to build four homes on a plot of land in Lymm have been withdrawn.

Developers were looking to build four homes on land on Statham Avenue currently housing a single detached bungalow and large garden.

Plans stated: "The current dwelling has an unusually large garden for the house type and in comparison to the surrounding properties.

"This application has the intentions of making more efficient use of the land by providing four dwellings with ample garden space and parking.

"The development site is not within a conservation area or green belt classification."

However it attracted a number of complaints from neighbours, concerned about the impact on the area, especially with parking.

One complaint said: "This will also create a four fold increase in cars on the road directly opposite our house. It is inevitable that some residents and visitors will park on the road and this increased traffic brings additional hazards.

"This proposal has also come on the back of a recent approval for a major development 100 yards down the same road at the old Lymm hotel site for which numerous concerns still remain about the increased number of traffic/visitors and cars parked on the road.

"This is a quiet residential street which is now undergoing major development."
