A POST Office in a village near Bicester has been recognised for its efforts serving the local community during the coronavirus pandemic.

Weston on the Green Post Office has been nominated for a Community Engagement award at the Post Office’s ‘We’re Stronger Together’ regional awards.

Area manager, Josh Richardson, said: “In spite of working through some major building work in branch, the team at Weston kept the branch open and worked to deliver care packages to the vulnerable in the community.

"Their customer feedback has been amazing, far outstripping many other branches in the area, while spirits have been kept high with the help of Lilly the dog.”
