Three men armed with a crowbar forced their way into a home this week.
Police were called to a house in Edgware, just before 7pm on Tuesday.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: "Police were called at 6.58pm on Tuesday November 3 to reports of an aggravated burglary at a residential premises in Wolmer Gardens, Barnet.
"Officers attended and spoke to the woman who reported that three men had forced their way into the property using a crowbar, while one man waited outside.
"The woman pushed the men in attempt to have them leave the property. The suspects pushed the woman back and fled the scene.
"The woman did not require hospital treatment."
It is not clear whether anything was stolen but it's believed the woman did sustain some injury.
Police are investigating the aggravated burglary but no arrests have been made at this stage.
