A DISQUALIFIED driver was found behind the wheel four days after being banned from the roads

And just days after the offence police stopped him again as he "supervised" an uninsured learner driver.

Now officers have warned the 22-year-old he could face prison for his crimes.

The offences came to light when officers from the Dorset Police No Excuse team stopped a Mercedes in Boscombe last night.

The 18-year-old driver had a provisional licence, telling police he was being supervised by the passenger. There was no insurance in place and no L plates displayed. The driver received a ticket for the offences and the vehicle was seized.

A spokesman for Dorset Police said: "The 'supervisor' in the passenger seat was a 22-year-old male who was disqualified from driving.

"This male had been disqualified for six months for totting up for previous offences of no insurance and speeding. In August this year he was caught driving whilst disqualified, he appeared in court last week and got a further period of being disqualified to May 2021.

"A few days after appearing in court he was caught driving again at the weekend. He was reported for the offences and now faces further punishment. Four days after appearing in court he’s found driving again.

"Now he has been further reported for supervising a learner driver whilst disqualified. The male could be looking at prison for the offences."
