The Hertsmere community is being urged to digitally confirm their policing priorities amid the ongoing social distancing restrictions.

Police have been forced to postpone normal community events designed to hear people's priorities, but officers have insisted "we are still here and listening, and we want your input".

Feedback should be submitted via police platform Echo - which the Safer Neighbourhood Teams (SNT) have access to - with contributors encouraged to state which area they are referring to in their submission.

Safer Neighbourhood Team Inspector Rachael Robertson said: “The SNT are responsible for dealing with short and long-term neighbourhood issues such as anti-social behaviour, criminal damage, speeding and drug-related crime.

"We want to make sure that we have a very clear understanding of all of the issues which affect our local communities so please let us know what you think we should be prioritising in your area.”

Police insisted the service should not be used to report crimes.
