Teenage girls charged in connection with robberies on lone women
Police say two teenage girls have been charged in connection with a spate of "violent" robberies.
The Metropolitan Police said two girls were arrested at homes in Barnet on Tuesday (April 20) on suspicion of committing four offences of robbery.
The Met says it has been investigating robberies that took place in Hampstead on the evening of March 23.
The victims were lone females who were punched and kicked and then either robbed of cash or forced to withdraw money from cash machines.
Subsequent enquiries into the incidents have been carried out by the Met's Venice Investigations Team.
