Police are investigating a stabbing by a major road junction today.

Multiple police and forensic officers have been working at the scene at Apex Corner near Mill Hill.

Metropolitan Police says it was called to the area shortly before 3pm following reports of a stabbing.

Two men were found with stab wounds and treated by the London Ambulance Service before being taken to hospital.

The Met says one man’s injuries have been assessed as non-life threatening and police are currently waiting for an update on the condition of the second man.

Police added that both men taken to hospital have been arrested.

The stabbing appears to have taken place by the A1 near Apex Corner.

Officers closed Green Avenue and forensic officers were spotted carrying out investigations on a patch of grass between the A1 and Green Avenue.

The police cordon had been lifted by 9pm. 

A police spokesperson said: "Police were called to Watford Way, NW7 at 14:48hrs on Sunday, 2 May following reports of a stabbing. A second call was received shortly after to nearby Green Avenue.

"Officers attended with the London Ambulance Service and found two men who had been stabbed.

"Both have been taken to hospital. One man’s injuries have been assessed as non-life threatening and we await an update on the condition of the second man.

"It is believed that both men were known to each other. They have been arrested on suspicion of GBH with intent.

"Enquiries are ongoing but at this early stage, officers believe this to be an isolated incident and are not looking for anyone else in connection with it."
