Detectives investigating the fatal stabbing of teenager Kacem Mokrane in Waltham Forest three years ago have charged seven people.
The incident was one of four attacks during a seven day period in the Walthamstow area that year which police believe were gang-related.
Kacem Mokrane, 18 was stabbed in the stomach in Mount Pleasant Road, Walthamstow on Thursday, November 16 2017 and died four days later.
Five were arrested at addresses across London last month.
They were taken to police stations and subsequently charged with murder.
They are: Kamil Kazmierski, 21 of Waltham Forest, Abdirisak Ali, 24 of Newham, Richard Billington, 40 of Essex, Shadab Abdul-Karim, 23 of Islington, and Christopher Wilson, 20 of Greenwich.
Two other people – Hamza Ul-Haq, 23 and Luca Griffiths, 19 both of Waltham Forest – were charged via postal charge requisition.
All five men arrested on 16 September appeared at Thames Magistrates’ Court that same day and are currently being held in custody.
They are due to appear at the Old Bailey on 3rd December but have yet to enter a plea.
