Drivers may find their journeys disrupted due to a number of temporary road closures in the borough of Barnet for roadworks, starting from next week.

The extent of the closures are detailed in notices from Barnet Council in this week’s edition of the Barnet Borough Times.

Water connection works are set to shut Watling Avenue HA8 at its junction with Burnt Oak Broadway for eight days from Tuesday.

The diversion will be via Orange Hill Road, Deansbrook Road, Burnt Oak Broadway and vice versa.

Hodford Road NW11 is due to be closed from outside No. 101 to the junction of Rodborough Road for five days from April 4.

This is for water pipe component replacement works and the alternative route will be via Helensea Avenue, Finchley Road, Golders Green Road and vice versa.

Also on April 4 but for two days, a section of Back Lane HA8 is due to be shut for road patching works.

The closure is due to apply from the north-eastern arm of Back Lane and the junction with Barnfield Road.

Tenterden Grove NW4 is set to be closed to vehicles between Brinsdale Road and Garrick Way for four days from April 11 for a new water connection.

The diversion will be via Parson Street, Finchley Lane, Tenterden Grove and vice versa.

A five-day closure in Cricklewood Lane NW2 is set to start on April 18 for drainage and refurbishment works on a railway bridge.

The closure will be in place between Cricklewood Broadway and Lichfield Road, with the alternative route via Lichfield Road, Westbere Road, Minister Road, Shoot-Up Hill (A5), Cricklewood Broadway (A5) and vice versa.

Road repairs are due to cause a two-day closure outside No. 7 to No. 9 Second Avenue NW4 from April 19.

Motorists should use Finchley Lane, First Avenue, Victoria Road and vice versa during the closure.

Henry Road EN4 is set to be shut at its junction with Brownlow Road for eight days from April 20 to allow a new water connection to be installed.

The alternative route will be via East Barnet Road, Longmore Avenue, Lancaster Road, Margaret Road and vie versa.
