Drivers may find their journeys disrupted due to a number of temporary closures in and around Barnet for roadworks, including one starting tomorrow that is due to last almost two months.

The closures are detailed in notices from Barnet Council in this week’s edition of the Barnet Borough Times along with other restrictions that may be necessary while the works are carried out.

The closure starting tomorrow is in Heybourne Crescent NW9, between Nos. 55 and 77, due to water works related to ongoing development works.

The road is expected to be shut for 59 days and the diversion will be via Heybourne Crescent, Lanacre Avenue, Grahame Park Way, Field Mead, Clayton Field and vice versa.

Tapster Street EN5 is set to be closed at its junction with High Street, Barnet, from Wednesday for three days for the installation of a new water main connection.

The alternative route will be via High Street, Moxon Street and vice versa.

Water pipe component replacement works are due to cause the temporary closure of Hodford Road NW11 from opposite No. 101 to the junction with Rodborough Road.

The alternative route will be via Helensea Avenue, Finchley Road, Golders Green Road and vice versa.

Colin Park Road NW9 is due to be shut at its junction with Sheaveshill Avenue from June 6 for five days for water service pipe relay works.

The alternative routes will be via Sheaveshill Avenue, A5 Edgware Road, Colindeep Lane and vice versa; or Sheaveshill Avenue, Colindeep Lane and vice versa.

A five-day closure in Hogarth Hill NW11, between its junctions with Willifield Way and Addison Way, is due to begin on June 13.

This is to allow gully works to be carried out.

The diversion will be via Finchley Road, Addison Way and vice versa.

New water connection works are set to shut Fryent Road NW9 between No. 2 and No. 60 from June 14 for 14 days.

Telecommunication installation works are due to temporarily close the service road fronting No. 121 to No. 133 Colney Hatch Lane N10 from June 27 for four days.
