The Metropolitan Police said the boy was transported to hospital where his injuries have been assessed as not life-threatening.
The driver of the vehicle – believed to be a car or small van – remained at the scene.
No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.
Road closures, which caused queues and forced buses to divert, have now been lifted, police added.
