A man was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries after being hit by a train.

Emergency services were called to Wembley Park underground station at 9.04pm on August 3 to reports of a casualty on the tracks.

British Transport Police said the victim was treated by paramedics and was taken to hospital with "life threatening injuries".

They added: "The incident is not being treated as suspicious."

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We sent a number of resources to the scene, including an ambulance crew, an incident response officer, a medic in a fast-response car, and our Hazardous Area Response Team (HART).

"We also dispatched a trauma team from London’s Air Ambulance.

“We treated a person at the scene before taking them to a major trauma centre as a priority.”

Wembley Park station was closed for several hours and the Jubilee line was suspended between Willesden Green and Atanmore.
