A man has died and two others have been rushed to a hospital after a triple stabbing.

The Metropolitan Police were called to Wellesley Road, Harrow, at 7.13pm on Wednesday (August 9) to reports of the incident.

London Ambulance Service attended and London Air Ambulance was also seen.

They found two men with stab wounds. One man died at the scene and another was treated by paramedics before being taken to a hospital. His condition remains unknown at this point.

Police are conducting enquiries to identify the murdered man and inform his next of kin. 

A third man was also found nearby with stab injuries. He too was rushed to the hospital, but his injuries are said to be not life-threatening.

Police have arrested two men on suspicion of murder and taken them into custody.

A crime scene remains in place and police are investigating the circumstances.

Harrow Online has reported that police have also cordoned off an area outside an off licence and next to a Tesco store in Station Road, Harrow.

It said residents had been asked to stay in their properties yesterday evening.

Officers have urged anyone with information to call the police on 101, quoting reference CAD 6726/09Aug.

Superintendent Matt Crayfrom the local policing team in north-west London said he is “confident" there is no wider risk to the community.

He said: “This is a devastating incident, and my thoughts are with the family of the man who was killed.

“Officers will remain in the area over the coming days to respond to any concerns you may have.”
