A person has died after an incident at Sloane Square underground station.

A casualty on the tracks was reported to police at around 12.25pm today (January 5). 

The person was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after.

The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.

A spokesperson for British Transport Police said: "Officers were called to Sloane Square underground station at around 12.25pm today (5 January) following reports of a casualty on the tracks.

"Paramedics also attended however sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene.

"The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
