Albion  drew another blank and suffered another defeat as they went down at Bournemouth.

They had plenty of the ball and played some attractive football without causing a confident home side serious problems.

Collectively, the hosts had greater tempo when they moved forward. This is how Albion fared as individuals.

Bart Verbruggen 6/10

Made a decent save low down when the hosts were chasing a third goal on the counter. He looks like he has been working on his passing game and it was hard to see what more he could do on the goals.

Odel Offiah 6.5/10

One of the brighter points of the afternoon as he enjoyed his first Prem start. Looked like he enjoyed having areas into which he could charge forward and he might have made more of some situations.

Lewis Dunk 7/10

De Zerbi has said he prefers Dunk as his right-sided centre-back and this set-up allows that. But, rather than building from the back, his afternoon was about blocking, making tackles and generally preventing further damage, which he did with some brave work.

Igor 5/10

Very mixed as he played on the left of the central pairing. Was left standing when Unal rose to head the second having seen a costly loss of possession near the touchline was reprieved by a bad miss.

Valentin Barco 6.5/10

Some more positive signs on his second start and his intensity is just what is required for the Prem. But, understandably, he is raw, especially in defence.

Billy Gilmour 6/10

Quite neat and tidy on the ball as Albion had plenty of possession but they struggled to pierce the Bournemouth ranks or really cause them discomfort. His best work came ahead of the Buonanotte chance.

Pascal Gross 6/10

Plenty of chance to play the ball around but looked on in frustration when a potential through ball to Welbeck was overhit. That poor end product after some neat passing summed up a lot of what we saw from the Seagulls.

Facundo Buonanotte 5/10

Exploded past one defender in the first half before delaying too long with the shot. Otherwise there was little impact.

Joao Pedro 5/10

Started in the No.10 role and did some good approach work but, again, with no end result. Saw an effort well blocked at 2-0 as the Seagulls sought a way back.

Simon Adingra 5/10

Got into some promising areas down the left but did not seriously worry the hosts.

Mark O’Mahony 6/10

Very little chance to mark his first Prem start with a magic moment. Sent a difficult chance wide on the turn.

Subs - Danny Welbeck 5/10

Sent on at half-time but struggled to get into the game.

Julio Enciso 6/10

Sent a good chance wide and then fired a fine effort not far past the top corner. He injected some energy and hunger but not the goal that was needed.

Joel Veltman N/A

Went on for the final stages with the game drifting away.

Adam Webster N/A

Made a goal-saving block before the third went in.

Carlos Baleba

N/A Sent on for the final moments.
