The head student at a school in the running for a national award says it is testament to the hard work everyone has put in over the years.

Cardinal Pole Catholic School, has been shortlisted for the Tes Schools Awards for a second year, in the category of Secondary School of the Year.

The Tes Schools Awards recognise the best schools and teachers across the United Kingdom.

Cardinal Pole Catholic School is on the shortlist due to its commitment to providing an exceptional learning environment where students flourish academically, socially, and personally.

The selection process conducted by a panel of experts, including school heads and education professionals, shortlists schools that represent the peak of educational excellence across 21 award categories.

The final awards will be announced on June 21 at a gala night at the Grosvenor Hotel in London's Park Lane, where the exceptional achievements of schools and educators from across the country will be celebrated.
