An obsessed fan has been convicted of raping a TV presenter, days before he arranged an acid attack in Golders Green that left her scarred for life.
Daniel Lynch, 33, of Shepherds Bush, was found guilty by a jury at Wood Green Crown Court yesterday and will be sentenced in May.
Lynch was convicted in October for arranging for an acquaintance to throw sulphuric acid in the face of the model, who cannot be named for legal reasons, in Golders Green Road on March 31 last year.
The victim ran blindly across the road and into a café after the corrosive acid was thrown over her and witnesses heard her screaming for help.
She had 12 operations and became suicidal after the attack, which left her with third-degree burns and nearly killed her.
The jury in the original case was unable to reach a decision on the rape charge.
