I wonder how many people in the borough were bopping about and making merry for St George’s Day on Friday? Answer: probably not many.
Wouldn't it be great if MPs signed a law, giving us a bank holiday every April 23? Then we’d be able to celebrate properly.
After all, we currently get fewer holidays than any other nation in the EU. I took matters into my own hands and I took the day off, put on my St George badge and some red and white clothing and joined some good friends who always get together on key saints’ days.
