A MAINLINE railway station was shut for nearly an hour on Saturday morning after someone reported a suspicious smell.
Firefighters cordoned off the area around Mill Hill Broadway station after the fumes were reported to police at about 5.30am.
However, the investigations could not establish what was causing the smell, which officers believe was coming from the drains, and as no-one was found to be suffering any problems the cordon was lifted at just after 7.45am.
