DETECTIVES have named the man found with serious head injuries in a Golders Green squat more than two weeks ago.

Pavel, also known as Paul or Proul, Perju, is reported to be in a stable condition after being found by ambulance crews in an outbuilding, in West Heath Road.

The 43-year-old old was taken to a central London hospital on the evening of October 19 with what were initially thought to be life threatening injuries.

Police said it was still unclear how he sustained the injuries and officers are keen to speak to anyone who knew Mr Perju or knows what happened inside the premises.

Detective Inspector Julian King, of the Homicide and Serious Crime Command, said: “Enquiries are on-going to establish what happened to Pavel and how he came to be injured but we need the community’s help.

“If anyone knows of his movements prior to when he was found, or was at the address when he was there, I would ask them to contact police in the strictest of confidence.”

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 020 8785 8244 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

A 39-year-old man and a 34-year-old man were arrested at the scene on suspicion of assault and questioned at a north London police station. They have both been bailed to return later this month, pending further enquiries.
