A MOROCCAN drug addict jailed last year for trying to sell macabre stolen pictures of a murdered Harry Potter actor is facing another prison term after a crime spree in Golders Green and Hendon.

Charaf Elmoudden, 21, was meant to be deported upon his release from a 15-month sentence for handling the stolen pictures of murdered Rob Knox’s post mortem last April.

But in August he won an appeal to remain in the country and just weeks after his release from jail was arrested over two burglaries and the theft of a car.

Rob Knox, 18, was stabbed to death outside a bar in Sidcup and his killer, Karl Bishop, is serving a 20-year sentence.

Today at Wood Green Crown Court Elmoudden, who was gave his address as Mount Pleasant Road, Tottenham, admitted four offences, one burglary, two of handling stolen goods and travelling in a stolen BMW X5.

During the break-in in Hermitage Road, Golders Green, he stole $3,000US and other foreign currencies totalling £25,000, as well as the key to a BMW X5 he was later caught by police in.

A second burglary in Sherwood Road, Hendon, is to lie on file with the court.

He was recalled to jail on licence after being arrested for the offences on January 21.

His counsel Hilary Manley told the court he won his appeal as he had obtained British citizenship, giving him leave to remain in the country, to which Judge Fraser Morrisson replied: “He will be for the foreseeable future anyway.”

He added: “Tempting though it is to deal with you today I think in justice to you I ought to delay any sentence until I find out a bit more about you, before deciding how long you should spend in prison.

“With offences such as this, and your previous record, there is only one option open to the court.”
