A MAN is recovering in hospital after being hit by a lorry in Golders Green Road this morning.

The street was blocked off for an hour after the 66-year-old Israeli man was hit by the Marks and Spencer lorry at 6.50am.

Police believe he may have looked in the wrong direction before stepping out into the path of the truck.

He is being treated in hospital for suspected broken knuckles, ribs and a fractured cheek bone and his family have been informed.

No arrests have been made.
