MOTORISTS outraged by council permit parking fee increases are holding a quiz night and auction to help raise funds for legal action.
On Saturday, November 12, Barnet CPZ Action group will host the event to contribute to the cost of legal action in the High Court for a judicial review of the parking permit prices.
Barnet CPZ Action was formed following the increase of Controlled Parking Zone permits in April.
David Attfield, a solicitor from Barnet, is driving the legal action and says two thirds of needed funds have been raised.
Mr Attfield and the group pare appealing for others to support the event to "help fight the battle against these outrageous increases we are all being forced to pay".
The quiz night will be held at the East Finchley Constitutional Club, The Walks, off Oakridge Drive.
The event begins at 8pm and will include a raffle, quiz and auction conducted by celebrity auctioneers Barry Jackson and Carolyn Pickles.
Tickets are £5 and can be purchased online at http://barnetcpz.blogspot.com/
