The route that the Olympic torch will take around the UK was announced today.
The route cuts a swathe through Barnet entering the borough from Brent at The Hyde.
It will be carried along Herbert Road, Wilberforce Road and Station Road.
In Hendon it will travel along The Burroughs, across Middlesex University forecourt and then down Church Road into Finchley Lane.
It will then be transported along Hendon Lane, Regent’s Park Road, Ballards Lane and the High Road in Finchley.
Finally, it will head along Friern Barnet Lane before leaving Barnet for Enfield.
The torch will arrive at Lands End on May 18 and will make a 70-day journey around the British Isles ending in London on July 27 at the Olympic opening ceremony.
It will pass through 1,018 places during its 8,000 mile journey.
