A store director from Edgware is to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust by climbing Mount Kilimanjaro.
Rakesh Kapoor, 41, works in Specsavers opticians in the Braodwalk Shopping Centre, Edgware.
He will leave the UK tomorrow and it will take six days for him to complete the 50 mile trek which finishes at 5,900m above sea level.
Mr Kapoor said: “The climb will be one of the most demanding and exhausting things I have ever done but I am looking forward to the challenge of raising money for such a worthwhile charity.”
The Cystic Fibrosis Trust funds researching into the disease and aims to provide care and support for people with the condition.
