A teenager is looking for budding models and designers to help with a charity fashion show she is organising.
Pernia Price, 17, a sixth form student at North London Collegiate, in Canons Drive, Edgware, is hoping to raise money for SENSE, a charity for deafblind people, with the event on July 1.
She is appealing for budding clothes designers and models to volunteer their time for the fashion show, which will be held at Woodside Park Club, in Southover.
Pernia, who is an ambassador for SENSE, said: “People can design anything they like, but because it is for SENSE it would be good if the clothes were made of materials with interesting textures.
“We hope that this event will bring the young and old together to do something for charity.”
The Whetstone schoolgirl applied for a role as a young ambassador after the charity came to her school to give a presentation.
She was selected on the basis of her idea to hold the fashion show, but the role also involves attending other SENSE fundraising events, such as the London Marathon.
SENSE is the leading UK charity campaigning for, and supporting, people who are deafblind.
