Mill Hill School is teaming up with the Panathalon Challenge Charity to help provide sporting competitions for disabled people.
The secondary school, in The Ridgeway, Mill Hill, kicked off the partnership by raising £2,395 for the charity.
They raised the money through a non-uniform day, running a charity cafe, holding a talent show and organising a Christmas carol service.
Panathalon has also trained 25 Mill Hill School pupils to act as Young Leaders in a range of disability sports.
These students will put their new skills into action later this month at a competition in Stoke Mandeville.
Giles Long, chair of the Panathalon Charity, and triple Paralympic Gold Medalist, said: “This is a fantastic example of how the independent school sector can support its local community and a charity which helps many disabled young people become active through sporting competition.
“Many thanks from all of us to our new friends at Mill Hill School.”
Panathlon Challenge helps young disabled Londoners get more involved with such sports as table cricket, football and athletics.
