Three suspects have been charged following a smash and grab at a supermarket in Whetstone.
After using a bin to smash open the doors to Waitrose in High Road, three people helped take £1,000 worth of whiskey in the early hours on Tuesday, October 2.
Police chased a black Ford Ka from the scene which hit speeds of 80mph in a 40mph zone in Barnet and Potters Bar, and careered onto the wrong side of the road on the A12.
Following a one and a half hour pursuit involving a police helicopter, officers used a stinger to puncture all four tyres finally bringing the vehicle to a halt in Essex.
Today, Steven Collins, 32, of no fixed abode, has been charged with burglary.
Kieren Bekir, 23, has been charged with burglary, dangerous driving and driving whilst disqualified and Rachel Copping, 22, of Grindleford Avenue, New Southgate, has been charged with burglary.
All three will appear in custody at Hendon Magistrates' Court on Thursday, October 4.
