Police hunting moped attackers who sprayed a corrosive liquid on two car passengers have released details of a suspect wanted for questioning.
The male victims, 41 and 24, were sitting in a vehicle when they were approached by two men on a moped on Waterford Road, Fulham, south-west London.
They were doused with a noxious substance that was later identified as ammonia at around 2.45pm on December 31, Scotland Yard said.
The older man suffered facial burns and was taken to a central London hospital, while his companion was checked by paramedics at an address in Wandsworth.
Neither suffered life-threatening or life-changing injuries, police said.
Detectives are now seeking Ameer Makame, a 26-year-old from Fulham Town, in connection with the attack.
A picture of the suspect shows him wearing a beige mac with a bright green, striped polo shirt.
No arrests have been made and inquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances of the assault.
Anybody with information on Makame’s whereabouts is asked to call Hammersmith and Fulham CID on 07901 515 793 or call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
