The Times Series is asking Barnet fans who they felt the Bees' man-of-the-match was against York City on Saturday.

Goals from Andy Yiadom and Jake Hyde proved enough for Edgar Davids’ side to complete a 2-1 victory over the Minstermen and there were a number of impressive performances for Barnet.

David Stephens produced another assured display at centre-back. Since joining the club from Hibernian in August the 21-year-old has been one of the Bees most consistent performers.

The defender was again commanding at the heart of the Barnet defence but also completed several impressive cross field passes to start attacks.

John Oster’s fine form continued with another confident performance. The 34-year-old was comfortable on the ball throughout and dictated the tempo of the match, particularly in the first half.

The Welsh international provided a calming influence in midfield and was always available for a pass.

Oster was accompanied in midfield by Davids and the energetic Mark Byrne. The Irish midfielder has rediscovered his best form in recent matches.

Byrne was a vital player in the Bees midfield as his selfless running off the ball opened up space for the likes of Oster and Davids.
