Barnet will host the 2013 FA WSL Continental Cup final between Arsenal and Lincoln on Friday October 4.

Last year's final was played at the Bees former home, Underhill, and chairman Tony Kleanthous says he is delighted The Hive will stage this season's show-piece event.

He said: “We have a very proud history of women’s football here at Barnet and we are delighted to be hosting the FA WSL Continental Cup Final for the second season in a row, and this year at the new stadium, The Hive.

"The final is the show-piece event in the FA WSL calendar and we are all looking forward to a thrilling match between two of the best teams in the country. We hope football fans will come out in force to enjoy fantastic football and a great family occasion”.

Two times trophy winners Arsenal have made it through to the final stage for the third successive year, after seeing off Everton in confident 4-0 semi-final victory.

They will face Lincoln who clinched a win against Liverpool following a nail biting penalty shoot-out.

It is third time lucky for Rick Passmoor’s side who have lost at semi-final stage for the past two years. Both teams will be going all out to secure the prestigious piece of silverware in the crowning match of the FA WSL season.

The FA WSL Continental Cup Final promises to round off another important year for the women’s game, which has seen continued growth in participation levels, unprecedented media coverage and growing crowds at club matches throughout the FA WSL season.

To help mark a special year for The Football Association - the 150th anniversary and 20 years since they took over the running of the women’s game - there is a special pricing structure with group bookings of at least 15 people, able to attend the match for £1.50 each.

A family ticket will cost £10 and tickets will be on sale from 4th September.
