Barnet chairman Tony Kleanthous admits does not know when the Bees will appoint a new manager.

Edgar Davids left his role as head coach on Saturday and director of football Paul Fairclough was appointed interim boss yesterday.

Fairclough will take charge of the Bees’ side for tonight’s Skrill Premier match against Aldershot Town at The Hive.

Kleanthous was asked yesterday when he planned to have a new manager in place, he replied: “That is the million dollar question that at the moment not even I can answer. What’s the next step? Is it Paul? Is it someone short term or is it someone long term?

“There is just so much happening here so quickly so there isn’t a moment to sleep.

"Somewhere along the line I’ll find five minutes and work it out.”

Despite Davids’ departure, Dutch coaches Uli Landvreugd and Dick Schreuder remain with the club and, along with James Thorne, will join Fairclough in the home dugout for tonight’s match.

Kleanthous is happy for Landvreugd and Schreuder to stay with Barnet and says the only vacancy is that of head coach.

He added: “The only person who has gone is Edgar at the moment. He has moved on as head coach and there is that vacancy which Paul is filling. There has been no decision beyond that.”

He continued: “There isn’t a reason for them (Landvreugd and Schreuder) not to stay. Whether they will want to I don’t know and they obviously came across with Edgar.

“We spent a lot of Sunday together and they seem keen to carry on and we’re happy for them to carry on at the moment.

“So as far as I am concerned, we made one change and that is the only change.”
