Martin Allen has used his programme notes for this evening's clash with Torquay United to confirm his intention to appeal Sam Togwell's red card against Wycombe Wanderers, despite initially saying he would not.
The experienced midfielder was given a straight red card just before half-time of Barnet's 3-1 FA Cup defeat by League Two Wanderers on Saturday.
After initially declaring he would not appeal the decision to send off either Togwell or Andy Yiadom, Allen has this evening gone back on his word.
Writing in the club's programme, he said: "...after reviewing the match DVD we have decided to appeal agaonst Sam Togwell's red card."
If unsuccessful, the former Wycombe midfielder will join defender Andy Yiadom in serving a three-match ban.
