Barnet Elizabethans ended 2014 in disappointing fashion, going down 31-12 at Verulamians in the Herts-Middlesex League One.
Aldrin handed the Elizabethans the perfect start when he went over after just 60 seconds. The lead was extended when Matt Nicholas sprinted through, with Harry Eade adding the extras.
However Verulamians fought back strongly and two converted tries along with a penalty goal turned the game in their favour 17-12.
Two further converted tries after the break compounded the Elizabethans' woes.
The Elizabethans return to league action with a trip to Haringey Rhinos on January 10.
