Barnet’s Bira Dembele and Sam Muggleton will be out for three to five weeks, head coach Martin Allen has revealed, whilst Kevin Lisbie is closing in on a return to action.

Centre-back Dembele was withdrawn midway through the second half of Saturday’s 2-0 win over Exeter City at The Hive after landing awkwardly.

Assistant coach Gary Waddock was unable shed any further light on the injury at full-time, though.

And speaking to Bees Player this afternoon, Allen confirmed the Frenchman had injured his knee against the Grecians and would face a spell on the sidelines.

He said: “He’ll be out probably between three and five weeks. Sam Muggleton this morning in training hurt his knee; exactly the same injury as Bira Dembele.

“He’s on his way to hospital at the moment to have that scanned so that’s a big concern. It’s only those two that are out now.”

Allen continued: “Kevin Lisbie trained in full this morning and Shaun Batt has had two weeks now of full training.

“Kevin is probably another two weeks away. And Shaun, if he carries on training as well as he has, he’s going to do a (Tom) Champion and he’s going to come in the back door and get in the team because he’s showing it on the training pitch.

"We’ll have to see how he gets on now towards the end of the week.”
