Andrew Johnston finished one over par after closing with a round of 71 in his debut US PGA Championship.
The Barnet golfer will take home €18,000 (around £15,300) after making the cut in New Jersey, where he opened with a level-par round of 70, followed by another of 69.
His form dipped slightly as the weekend progressed, and a double bogey at the eighth in his third round left him one over, but two birdies from the back nine helped him to recover.
In his final round on Sunday, another pair of birdies left him one over par for the weekend, after which he added to his growing legion of fans by throwing his hat and glove into the watching crowd.
