Saracens flanker Schalk Burger has received a one-week ban for dangerously entering a ruck against Northampton last Saturday.
Burger pleaded guilty at an independent disciplinary hearing yesterday to having made contact with flanker David Ribbans in the 48th minute of the 62-14 Champions Cup triumph at Allianz Park.
The citing was upheld as the panel felt the offence deserved a red card and a two-week suspension was issued, reduced by one week due to the South Africa back row's admission of guilt and good disciplinary record.
