Saracens could not make it three Champions Cup wins on the spin last year – but now they know their first opponents if they are to mount a successful campaign this time around to make it three in four.
Fresh from winning the Premiership final against Exeter Chiefs, Mark McCall’s men have been drawn against Glasgow Warriors, Cardiff Blues and Lyon in Pool 3 for next season’s competition.
Sarries were dumped out of last season’s competition at the hands of eventual winners Leinster in the quarter-finals and will begin their European campaign with back-to-back fixtures in October.
The Men in Black beat French opposition in both finals of their competition-winning performances, triumphing 21-9 over Racing 92 in 2016 and 28-17 over Clermont last year.
