Barnet moved to within six points of the National League play-off zone after coming from behind to leapfrog Hartlepool United at Victoria Park.

The visitors were up against it when Peter Kioso gave the hosts a 10th-minute lead, but a rapid two-goal burst from Manny Duku midway through the first half turned the game on its head.

Josh Walker then added a third in injury time as the Bees moved up to 11th in the table after inflicting a fourth straight league defeat on their hosts.

Pools went ahead when Barnet goalkeeper Mark Cousins failed to punch a cross clear and Kioso was able to capitalise.

But the visitors were to level in the 24th minute when Duku headed home and the Bees striker then dispossessed Kioso following the restart and chipped keeper Scott Loach to complete the rapid turnaround.

The Bees went close to extending their lead after the restart when Loach cleared a Elliott Johnson corner off the line before Byron Harrison went close with another effort.

However, the visitors needed Jack Taylor to clear off his line to keep them in front before they made sure of the points four minutes into stoppage time when Walker capitalised on a slip from Myles Anderson and broke clear to make it 3-1.

Barnet’s attention now turns to their FA Cup first round replay at Bristol Rovers on Wednesday night.
