Tottenham Hotspur will open the new Premier League season at home to newly-promoted Aston Villa in a game to be broadcast on live TV.

The new fixtures were released this morning and Mauricio Pochettino’s men will face the Championship play-off winners on Saturday, August 10 with a 5.30pm kick off to allow for live broadcast on Sky Sports.

After that though, comes a trip to champions Manchester City and the opening month of the season ends with the first north London derby at Arsenal.
