The referee who oversaw Watford’s only Premier League win so far this season has been appointed to take charge of the Hornets’ trip to leaders Liverpool on Saturday lunchtime.
The Anfield fixture will be Andre Marriner’s 12th game of the season and the third involving Watford, having officiated the 2-0 win at Norwich City and the 0-0 draw at home to Sheffield United in October.
The 48-year-old sent off Christian Kabasele for two bookable offences in the victory at Carrow Road, his second red card of the campaign having dismissed Southampton’s Ryan Bertrand in their 9-0 mauling at home to Leicester City.
The Birmingham-born official, who was VAR for Saturday’s goalless draw with Crystal Palace, will be assisted by Scott Ledger and Simon Long, while David Coote is scheduled to be the fourth official.
Jonathan Moss is due to be on VAR duties, with Eddie Smart the assistant VAR.
