Barnet host Halesowen Town in the FA Trophy at The Hive this weekend as both sides battle it out for a place in the last four of the competition.

Darren Currie’s side will take on the Yeltz, who sit three divisions below the Bees in the footballing pyramid, however they have so far seen off two National League sides to make it to the last eight.

The Bees’ opponents defeated high-flying FC Halifax Town away from home in the last round and saw off Maidenhead United in the last 32, so it is set to be an intriguing cup tie this Saturday.

Barnet have defeated Weymouth, Farsley Celtic and National League leaders Barrow so far in the competition and will be sensing a first ever trip to Wembley Stadium since its new build.

Currie’s side remain one of four National League sides left in the last eight of the FA Trophy, so the Bees fans will be hopeful to see their side secure victory over the Yeltz.

Currie has pleaded for the support of the Bees fans ahead of the match. His side sit on the fringes of the play-offs and the boss is hoping that the fans can play a part as the season approaches its climax.

He said: “The role they can play is going to be huge for us and my only hope is that we get a few more through the door at The Hive London.

“I understand at times the weather plays its part and there are issues but if it takes begging I will beg for your support. Get behind the boys because we’ve got an exciting run-in.”

The Bees have made tickets £1 for under-16s and £15 for adults in all areas of the ground as they look to have a bolster crowd for this weekend’s quarter-final.
