Defender Sagi Burton could return to the Barnet side for the trip to Darlington on Saturday, but he may have to settle for a place on the bench.

The form of Joe Devera, who has deputised for Burton, has given manager Paul Fairclough a welcome selection dilemma.

Burton was a regular before his injury, but Devera has formed a fine partnership with captain Ismail Yakubu at the heart of the defence.

The 29-year-old Burton has been out with a knee problem, missing 13 games.

Midfielder Michael Leary is also available again after a three-match suspension.

With an abundance of midfielders, Fairclough has allowed youngster Danny Hart to go on loan to Wivenhoe Town for a month.

Goalkeeper Tim Trebes, who has been on the bench to cover for the injured Rob Beckwith, has also joined the Essex club on a permanent basis, teaming up with ex-Bee James Cole.

Barnet have another busy week ahead of them.

Following Saturday's tough trip to Darlington, they entertain Brentford in a London derby at Underhill on Tuesday.

Because of the Bees' FA Cup exploits and a number of postponements, they will be in action twice a week for almost the rest of the season.

Barnet have only played 26 games, which is four less than some of their rivals.

Fairclough can at least draw on a fully-fit squad for the tough challenges ahead, with physio Mark Stein now "twiddling his thumbs".
