Barnet still have work to do to ensure their League Two survival after defeat at Accrington this evening.

The Bees needed three points to guarantee safety, but they could not unlock the home defence and conceded a goal 20 minutes from time.

It means they remain four points ahead of Grimsby Town, with the two teams meeting at Blundell Park on the penultimate weekend of the season this Saturday.

Barnet will need just a point there, but, should Grimsby win, it will all go down to the final game of the season.

Accrington, on a run of nine games without victory, went into the game with nothing but pride to play for, while Barnet were looking to end a run of four straight defeats.

Manager Ian Hendon made three changes from the side that lost to Rotherham on Saturday. In came Daniel Leach, Ed Upson and David Livermore.

It meant skipper Micah Hyde and Albert Jarrett had to settle for a place on the bench.

But, despite the changes, it proved to be another frustrating night for the Bees.

The only goal came on 69 minutes, Billy Kee finding the net for the hosts.

Now Barnet must end this latest run of five straight defeats when they travel to Grimsby on Saturday, or it could be a nervous final day of the season.

BARNET (4-4-2): Cole; Devera, Leach, Breen, Gillet (Medley 84); Adomah, Hughes, Upson (Jarrett 77), Livermore; O'Flynn, Furlong.
