Despite only two full days to recuperate for this evenings league match against Torquay United, Lawrie Sanchez is not worried about tiredness in his Barnet side.

The Bees were in action on Tuesday night as they came away victorious against Brentford in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy southern area semi-final.

The Gulls have had an extra three days to rest and prepare for the match having not played since the weekend defeat against Sheffield United.

Sanchez may make a few changes to his side after commenting that he has many players in the squad who are capable of coming into the first team.

“The players want to play again but we will have to look at the fitness and check if there are any knocks, but we have a squad here now.

“You look at the size of the bench and players like Darren Dennehy and Charlie Taylor weren’t even involved against Brentford.

“Jack Saville was also not involved because we could only have fives loans in the squad. So there is competition for places now and we have fresh bodies.

“So another game will do us the world of good and I have no problems with it.”
