Barnet travel to Gillingham tonight with plenty of defensive problems as the Bees have only one recognised centre-back available for the game.

Darren Dennehy (pictured) and Paul Downing are both missing due to suspension while Jack Saville seems unlikely to take part due to injury.

It means Michael Hector is likely to be partnered with Clovis Kamdjo in the heart of the Bees defence, with Sead Hajrovic expected to start at right-back.

However, the Gills have selection problems of their own. Andy Hessenthaler could be without nine first team players for the Bees visit.

Joe Martin is suspended after his red card at the weekend while Simon King, Jack Evans, Jo Kuffor, Gavin Tomlin, Danny Kedwell are all struggling for fitness ahead of the contest.

Certainly ruled out for the home side will be Curtis Weston, Jack Payne and Andy Frampton.

Barnet boss Lawrie Sanchez is expecting another tough fixture for the Bees but takes heart from their previous visits to the Priestfield Stadium.

He said: “Every game from now until the end of the season is going to be tough. Whether we play Hereford at home or Gillingham away they’ll be tough.

“We are capable of beating Gillingham. We have done them twice at their ground since I have been here, 5-1 last year and we beat them in the JPT this season.

“They drew against us here early in the season but beat Plymouth at the weekend and are on a good run after overcoming six straight defeats.

“They are like a lot of teams in this division who are consistently inconsistent. Swindon are the only team who have been consistent this season.

“So it will be a tough game. Andy Hessenthaler has gone young in terms of players - he has Jordan Obita and that will be interesting to see if he plays against us.”

He continued: “I have got no problems going over there. It is a great ground and will look to make it three wins there.

“They have been conceding goals but at the same time they are on the verge of the playoffs. So they will probably see us coming and think they can win.

“However, if we can sort out the defence we have a good chance of doing something there.”
