Barnet Elizabethans were dumped out of the County Tankard competition in the semi-finals after a 41-5 defeat at Stevenage Town.
The visitors had the better of the opening stagea in the Hertfordshire Presidents' Tankard match but Stevenage proved too strong as they ran in seven tries.
Glyn Bayley missed a penalty but Stevenage hit them twice inside five minutes with two converted tries, despite one coming from a crooked lineout which the touch judge called but the referee ignored.
Right on half-time, the home side scored a third try to lead 19-0 at the break.
Barnet started the second half strongly and again Bayley was denied a chip and chase try before Stevenage scored another try when BE's defence was over stretched.
The underdogs did get on the scoreboard when man-of-the-match James Oram dived over for a try. In the final ten minutes, Stevenage showed their skills by turning defence into attack and they ran in three more tries to progress to the final.
BE are back on league duty this Saturday when they are at home to bottom side London Welsh Amateurs.
